Treatment For Hair Loss

* Before & After results may vary from person to person.

What is a Treatment for Hair Loss?

At Victoria Park Medispa, a treatment for hair loss involves the delivery and stimulation of growth factors directly at the site of hair loss. This is accomplished by drawing blood, similarly to a routine blood test, which is then prepared to produce a concentration of platelets.

These platelets contain growth factors that have been shown to strengthen hair and prevent hair thinning and hair loss. They are then injected into your scalp using a special device in order to stimulate hair regrowth and hair quality.

This hair restoration treatment is for clients suffering from mild to moderate hair loss or receding hairline. Treatment usually requires four sessions at intervals of two weeks.

The entire procedure for hair loss prevention and hair restoration will usually take about 45 to 60 minutes.

Who is a good candidate for Hair Restoration Treatments?

Hair loss treatments are for clients suffering from mild to moderate androgenetic alopecia (hereditary male or female pattern baldness) wishing to improve the quality of their hair. Patients with thinning, but not totally bald areas are the best candidates for hair loss treatments.

Does the procedure hurt?

There may be some sensitivity. However, Dermatologist Dr. Earl Minuk utilizes a special vibration device during the treatment that minimizes any potential discomfort.
