Laser technology is the answer for red areas
caused by broken blood vessels and birthmarks.
Dermatologist Dr. Earl Minuk introduced pulsed
dye laser technology for treatment of facial veins,
red blemishes and port wine birthmarks in 1993.

when is comes to treating unsightly facial spider

Dr. Minuk will assess your problem and provide a treatment
plan that is best
suited for you. During treatment, laser light passes safely through the top layer
of skin to remove unwanted blood vessels that without damaging the surrounding
skin (termed "selective photothermolysis"). Facial spider veins, broken blood
vessels, cherry or red spots, and portwine birthmarks can be treated right in the
office within seconds or minutes.
Broken blood vessels usually require one treatment with a touch-up
treatment
scheduled several weeks later if necessary.
Portwine birthmarks can be dramatically reduced in a number of sessions
with
sessions spaced at 3-4 month intervals.
